Hi There! As a new homeowner, I've never done any sort of remodeling, etc. before. But the previous owner of our house built a wall of cabinets through our garage, and we want to knock the wall down this weekend. Having never demolished a wall before, what do we need to knkow before we start? Any tips or hints? Thanks in advance for your help!

Well, I assume that you have completed this task already.

Always be sure of where wiring is located and that you should isolate and shut down all power on that circuit.

When you pull cabinets/shelving from walls be careful of sharps: nails or screws that will jump off the board and grab your shirt, pants, or any exposed skin area.

Always take the removed pieces out of your work area. Never work alone if you can help it.

Have pry bars, hammers, and saws available.
