Wall paneling bowing out

A few months ago I decided to fill in the wood paneling in my dining room and kitchen with joint compound. Needless to say, it turned out great except for one line. Within the past few months it is bowing out. Any ideas would be much appreciated!Name: IMG_4893.jpg

It could be a temperature/humidity issue causing the paneling to expand and bow out.

Probably not adhered to the wall there compared to elsewhere. May have always done it but went unnoticed until you skimmed over it with j/c. I'd try to draw it in with nails and then remud.

btw - welcome to the forums!

Thank you! I took some of the j/c off along that line and nailed it down. Night and day difference. Boy... that was easy! I thought it was going to be something more intense.
