Wall framing around drain pipe
Hi , i framed a room in the basement, my problem is one of the wall (it was already F framed by builder) there is a drain pipe that sticks out about 1/2" more or less off the studs.
How do u fix that so when you go to drywall you have a straight wall and not a bump in the wall.
Thanks

Shim the entire wall with 1x2's or strips of 1/2" plywood.
If you are talking about a clean out, that needs to be left exposed with a cover plate.

I dont have a problem with the clean out it would be at the back of the wall, i will have access to it from behind.
So aee u talking about extending the wall out. Placing the 1×2 on top of the studs all along the wall
