ceiling corner cracks on painted wall
Good day, I bought it house last June and the owner had a new paint job all house. The house is 20 years old.
I just found last week there are a few cracks at the point where the ceiling and the wall meet.
I found the cracks in all 3 rooms. Not the living area nor basement.
I thought it could be a simply fix or just little patch up job, but someone told me it could be a roof problem
since it is a 20yrs old original roof.
When I bought the house, the inspector told me that the roof needs to be replaced soon, which I am going
to replace the roof, windows, and rear fence at the same time this summer time.
Please advise me how to fix it. Can I DIY it?
thanks.

Where two planes meet is where the most movement happens in a building. Your cracks appear very minor to me and is just likely do to minor movement between the wall and ceiling. I would just get a little painters caulk and fill in the cracks wiping away the extra with a damp cloth.

Caulk should do a decent job except for the 3rd pic which shows the tape coming loose. Even so caulking it would be less invasive there than removing/replacing the tape, finishing and touching up the texture.

Get a tube of acrylic latex caulk and apply it on the cracks. Have a damp/wet rag handy to remove any errant caulk and clean your fingers. While the loose tape should be removed and redone, you could smear just a little caulk into the void and call it good enough.

I am sorry it might be a stupid question, but are we talking about drywall joint tape? I should remove the old tape and re do the tape, compound, and paint again to fix It?
how about ceiling corner trim or moulding?

Yes, it's paper drywall tape that is folded and mudded into place on the corners. That type of repairs involves removing the tape, scraping down the texture next to the tape, retaping, 2-3 coats of joint compound and then retexturing to match. That is why I suggested just caulking it.
