Wall to bathroom surround transition.

Hi there I recently renovated my bathroom. I went to Lowe's but no one seemed to have any answers for me. I have a drywall wall to bathroom surround transition, I'm not sure what I can use as a transition piece. I've got a picture below. There's close to a half inch gap. Thanks.

Fill it with setting compound then float and finish it with joint compound.
