I have a projector screen about 10 feet long and weighs 57lbs. My house is small and I have only one location where I can put it and have enough space for a projector to throw an image. In that room the walls have paneling which I don't think I can drill into and later cover. So I'm left with installing into the ceiling. There are no joists in the area except for the joists which are covered by beams across the ceiling. I can't drill into those either without causing them damage. So now I'm left with trying to install this thing into a drywall ceiling without a joist to drill into. Also that part of the attic is blocked off by the heating system and vents...
It's a frustrating problem. Can I get away with toggle bolts?Any other ideas?
We recently put up a wall in our home that butts up to a stippled ceiling. Not sure how to tape/mud the joint at the ceiling or what to do with the stipple? Want to keep the stippled ceiling (which was painted years back), but just not sure on how to proceed.
