Any way this wall could be load bearing?

I would like to take down this half wall. As seen, it does not support any vertical load that I can tell. My only concern is it might provide lateral support? The wall to the left is an exterior wall. The wall to the right extends to the attic. I can access a space above the closet on the right of those pictures would help - nothing fancy there - just framed in using 2x4s.

There is no plumbing or ventilation in the wall, but there is an electrical outlet on each side near the bottom..
Thanks in advance.

That wall looks cosmetic.
