Inside Corner Drywall Repair

My walls are textured. Do I ned to sand the texture off before I mud and drywall tape the corner or can I apply over the knockdown texture?

What is wrong with your corner? sometimes you can just caulk it for a decent no fuss repair.
You can tape over the texture but it's easier if you scrape some of it down first.

It looks like my corners are settling it this is the only area in the house that has done this. I can just caulk it but didn't know if this would be adequate.
I tried to post a pic of the wall but can't figure out how to do it.

try this - How to insert pictures.

I'd try caulking first, that way you just need a brush full of paint. If you retape the repair becomes larger with more mudding and texture needed.
