crazy ideas in my head

I am thinking of converting a place in my basement into a vault. The walls and floor are more than secure being reinforced concrete. The problem is with the ceiling, its of course wood. Is there a feasible way to strengthen or reinforce the ceiling without moving the house and pouring concrete??

You can still do concrete though it may have to be pumped or lifted by hand.

Just how much security do you need? If you want the strength of reinforced poured concrete like a bank vault it is doabale. You can also install security mesh and get a lighter weight assembly. Difficult to get through but not as difficult as concrete. Easier to build.

I found some of this and looking at doing a grid pattern or 3/4" rebar integrated in the floor joists and then a security mesh between the drywall and joists. Wont be fire resistant but should deter would be intruders enough.
