How to remove excess paint from knockdown textured drywall

There is one wall in my house that is clear has excess paint, Looks like a brush was used to cover the edge and it had excess paint which resulted in a different texture sharpness. Most edges have the excess paint (e.g. Around door frames). One in particular is very visible because the way the lights hits the wall.
How can I recover the sharp texture?
How can I remove the excess paint and brush marks used around this edge?

I tried sanding, that removed the texture all together. I'm tried making the knockdown texture using the spray can but unsatisfied with the result.

Different sharpness of texture drywall due to paint.

As you have discovered there is no fix.

The only thing I can think of is to paint the wall in a matte or eggshell sheen so it is not noticeable.

Ya, you really can't remove paint from texture. Another coat of paint will help it blend better and as mentioned above paint with less sheen won't highlight it as much.
