I plan on removing my "popcorn" ceilings. Are there any chemical type problems to worry about....like asbestos or is popcorn safe to remove without getting special filters to breath? Thanks ZIP

The EPA has just sent out a notice to all professions that scrape(2sqft.) ceilings and walls to remove textures or paints have to notify your customers that any home or building built before 1978 could have Lead Base Paint, Then we have to keep a record that we have notified the customer of the lead base and keep records for three years, I read in Wall and Ceiling that any texture that was put up in the 1980's had some traces of Asbestoes, I put some of that stuff up on ceilings, But they never said anything to us,
"Just get the ceilings done we have four more to do"
Well just make sure you wear a mask
Good Luck
