Foam insulation board for sound reduction

I have "stompy" young kids which will reside with me every other weekend in the bedroom above our master.
Before I sheet rock the master, would we benefit from putting foam insulation sheet between the sheet rock and the studs/joists?

Noise abatement is done with heavy dense materials, foam is light weight and is not a good nose reduction material.

Lots of youtube videos, not a simple easy fix!

There are a lot of websites and videos that discuss sound deadening. Since you haven't sheetrocked yet it's the prefect time to add noise control. Usually it involves a fluffy type insulation in the joist bays and then a system to isolate the sheetrock from the faming.
