drywall behind a tub surround
#1
I am redoing my bathroom and I pulled down a five piece tub surround. When I pulled it down the pieces the top part of the drywall paper has come off in large pieces but not down to the drywall. So I know I have to pull off the rest of the paper to make it flat. I am going to put up a one piece tub surrond. What do I need to do to the wall so that the adhesive will stick correctly?

Get yourself some latex primer or even some left over latex paint from a bedroom or kitchen go ahead and paint the drywall where the paper has ripped off, you may have to do it a couple times, let it dry over night then go ahead put your glue on the drywall and press your tub suround into the glue you should be good to go, just finish off the outer edges with a good latex arylic caulk let it set over 24 hours before you use the shower,
Good Luck
