Steel Beam instead of Wood LVL to replace load bearing wall

Removing an interior load bearing wall with 2ft span. Was going to use (3) 2x12x20 Versa Lam beams, however, they are not available for 4 months if ordered today. Looking at steel beam as alternative. What W series or S series beam would be comparable? S series would work better because the flange width requires less attached wood for ceiling joists. Was looking at W8-21.

Welcome to the forums!
Why not ask your architect? you'll need his stamp of approval to pass inspection.

I assume that is a mis type, is it a 20' span?

Also realize that using steel beams pose very different installation and finishing methods. Cant nail into them so attaching hardware has to be welded, cant attach drywall easily to them.

I would also check around, I'm building a garage this summer and just talked to my lumber yard about materials, specifically LVL beams, they indicated they were just a few days out, I think I will call again tomorrow and verify.
