Sand between each layer of mud.
Prime and paint.

I have recently removed the plaster and lathing in an upstairs bedroom(fun, fun), and I think that putting up drywall is going to be more of a task than I had anticipated. The plaster varied in thickness from 1/4 in. to almost an inch on some walls!!!! The wall studs are very uneven (vertically). How can I get a good flat surface to hang the drywall from?Read More
im not sure where to post this question, so im sorry if its not in the right place.. we recently moved into a house with a very small hall closet. i hung a few things and a few days later found the whole whatever u call it in the floor, and thats where it all lays now...i would like to use the closet so i need to rehang the hanging thingy but there are no studs in the wall..(only lots of holes from me looking for a stud) oops....the other wall has the electrical panel on it so that wall is out.. and the third wall is in front of the door so that is not an option...what can i use or do to the wall so it can support something to hang clothes? thanks for any suggestionsRead More
