Patching Drywall
#1
I removed some paneling from my bedroom wall when I noticed that in a couple of spots the previous owner had glued it on. So I have a hole in the sheet rock approx. 1 foot by 1 foot and glue that must be cut out approx. 1 1/2 feet by 4 feet and another piece 1 foot by 3 feet. How do I go about fixing it. I am capable of hanging the sheet rock but have never tape and textured before. Some tips would be appreciated. Thanks

hello
unless the sheetrock is realy bad you may not need to replace it.....remove all the glue and just float out the bad areas with a wide knive and topping mud let dry and sand
Tapping is not difficult but doing it is the best teacher, do it slow and do not add to much at one time so it can dry, if you should get it to heavy in one spot all you do is sand it down smooth....Good Luck...
