I just installed some new drywall in a old bath room. We replaced 75% of the drywall and we have taped mudded the walls and have sanded to a baby but smooth finish. Here is the problem - We were preparing to paint and we noticed that the walls that we left behind had a orange peel type finish. What is the tecnique for applying a finish to match. I understand that it is joint compuond applied with a roller but what else do you do to get that finsh look to match??

some help
first of all you should redo the old to make it easyer to match....Use Stipple Paint and a stipple roller to get the same texture on all the walls and ceiling, quick easy and looks great and when it is done so is the painting of the walls and ceiling....Good Luck....
