i need to replace some old shoe molding.
it is larger than the modern stuff.
and i don't know how to figure out what the circumference is.it is quarter round.what do i measure?

is it hard to find the older , bigger sizes? maybe the salvage yard...i know that i could have it milled, but that is very expensive,i'm sure..

Measuring shoe mold

Measure a flat side of the molding to see how thick it is. You can check with local building supply stores, lumber yards, mold/trim shops. Common sizes of quarter round are 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 1 1/8".
