corkboard wall--how do I get rid of?
Just bought a new house (built in early 80s) and one of the bedrooms has a "corkboard wall". The whole outside wall is covered in dark brown corkboard. While I can understand that this may be nice to hang kids' artwork, etc., I am just not into it and would like to make it a "normal" wall. But, am a novice to home repair--can I just cover with dry wall or is it necessary to remove corkboard first? Any input is greatly appreciated!

removing the cork board is best.
It is probobly glued on to drywall, so it will ruin the sheetrock.
Replace the sheetrock, and you are back into style.
