Paper vs Mesh Tape

Any opinions on which is the best to use on tapered and butt joints? Also can you use premixed compound such as USG +3 to mud mesh tape. All opinion appreciated.

You can use USG plus three for all drywall applications. It's good stuff. Lightweight and strong enough to hold tape. You can use mesh tape on all joints if you prefer. I would use paper tape on inside corners. Easier to finish. If you have a lot of taping to do I would invest in a banjo (about $70). Remember to pre fill all you cracks bigger than 1/8". Even with mesh.
