I'm making a wall out of bookcases to divide a room - one side a bedroom, the other a living room. I need to know how to secure the bookcases so they don't topple over if my baby climbs on them. I don't think they'll go all the way to the ceiling.

Please advise on a safe way of doing this.

One way would be to build the bookshelves on their side with a solid board as the base under the framing.
Then screw the base solidly to the floor.
