Removing Screen Panel Wall

I have a large patio formed by 3 concrete block walls and one screen patio wall that opens to the pool area. I would like to take down the screen panels and leave the patio open to the pool. Will I need any support for the very large header beam that runs the entire length (25') of the open area? The screen panels were attached to 2 aluminum posts that I would like to take out.
Thanks.

I have never seen an aluminum support post. The beam to span 25 feet (bearing) should be 3 2x14 microlams or equivalent. But this assumes it is holding up one side of a roof that is around 30 feet wide. If you are on a gable, these are most likely not supports.

Your best bet is to have your local building inspector over. He/she can take one look at the posts and tell you if you can remove them or not (and it may cost you nothing).
