I am renovating basement area ...is there a proper way to put up drywall..ie lenght ways or vertical or does it really matter? Thks in advance.

As bungalow jeff said there are pros & cons to both. Irecently went through the same thing in my basement. I replied with a list of the pros & cons to a thread posted by Curious George on 6/4/02 under the title Hanging Drywall in The Basement.
