1/4" Gap

1/4" Gap

I put a wall frame that recently built up and have secured to the wall and anchored it to the concrete floor. But there is a 1/4" gap from the top 2x4 to the cieling. Should i just screw/nail it in like that or how would i add something to makup for that 1/4" gap?

Use some shims to tighten the wall to the top and then nail thru the shims

Thanks gary, Went to depot and got some shims. Nailed them in.

Drilling into plaster...

The surrounding wall on our upstairs patio is made out of plaster or concrete. We would like to attach a trellis to it but need to know what type of hardware to bolt down the trellis to this type of material? Thank you!

What is less expensive, a drop ceiling or a drywall ceiling. I have done drop ceilings and they are pretty easy to install and are a good idea if there are utilities that need attended to. In this case there are no utilities. This woul be DIY.
