receptacle box placement

I am finishing my basement and the back basement wall is a walkout. Along the back wall there are two places where the wall comes in about 7 inches from the back. I would like to put a volume control for the sound in one of them and an IR sensor in the other. Is it feasible to place receptacle boxes in these tight places when drywalling. It leaves 1-1/2 inches of space (1 stud) between the box and the corner of the wall. Is this enough room to drywall and tape?

Thanks in advance

ideally i would stay at least a foot away from corners, but if that is where it has to be make sure the box is flush with the drywall and once it is wired use masking tape to cover the opening. then drywall. tape and mud like a normal corner and cut out the opening after you are done.
