Gas Hot Water Heater for Crawl Space

We need to replace a gas hot water heater installed in a crawl space. Height of the one in place is approximately 35 inches. Who manufactures units of this dimension? Thanks

Yes. Height of present unit is 35-36 inches, in crawl space with virtually no additional room.

Aside from the actual height of the water heater, don't forget to leave provisions for your exhaust flue pipe. Most water heater manufactures require a 6 inch minimum straight rise coming off the draft hood, then a minimum 1/4 inch per foot pitch from there.

Too many times I see an elbow attached directly to the draft hood and too many times I see the exhaust (carbon monoxide) spilling into the house.
