Question Stinky water - flushing only helps for a week

Hello, we live in the country & are on a well. We do not have a softener installed but hope to one day. Problem is the hot water stinks really bad. (Cold does a little bit, but only when it's hot outside.) Issue is exponentially worse when it's hot (over 95). Hubby flushes hot water heater, but in about a week it's stinky again. Stinks up whole house. Embarrassing with company. Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

Is it the sulphur (rotten egg) smell? There are filters available to remove it from the water.
