Hot water element
Hi
My hot water system is not leaking but it does not seam to be heating to the right temperature.I put it on to shower but it is luke warm I don't even need to put the cold on but never like this before you would burn yourself if you done so.please anyone ideas

Hi,
Are you going to try to repaire your self?
Do you have a multimeter and know how to use it?
You will need to isolate the cause which could be an elemnent or t stat. This will require testing several areas.
High voltage in there so you will need to use cation, and we dont know your skill set.
How old is the heater? It may be cost effective to replace the heater.

I think Mike is assuming that you are talking about an electric hot water heater?
If so, this may not be the correct forum... but let's find out a little bit more about exactly what kind of 'water heater' this is.
Tell us the make and model of the equipment, how it is fueled, if it is a 'stand alone' water heater for your domestic hot water or if it is a heating boiler, etc...
