Venting issue?
Looking at a houw with oil heat - and what I found strange was that the water heater was also oil fired. Apparently the furnace requires a 7" duct up the chimney - and the water heater also requires a 7" duct up the chimney. I am told these should be separate - but the water heater vent goes into the furnace vent - which then goes up the chimney. Is this a problem?
Also posted this in the Oil burner forum - hope that's not an issue - was not sure where best to post it

Why do you ask? Is this your home? It is sized by BTU load from what I know. What size furnace and what size HWH in BTU?
What size is there now?
What is make and model of both appliances?
Who told you this?
