Post Hot water shut off valve

The hot water line shut off valve on my water heater is leaking. Need to know how to replace the gasket.

Depends on what type of valve it is.... Where is it leaking? Does it not shut off all the way or is it dripping from the stem? Pics help....

You will probably be better replacing it if its the washer. It may be difficult to get apart.

Open and close valve on the hot water line. When you close the valve the water does not drip. When the valve is open it leaks (more than just a drip).

Probably leaking from the packing nut. If its this type of valve give that nut where the stem goes into a little snug clockwise.

let us know.
