Recommendations for hot water supply

Hello All!

Currently have a tankless coil off my oil fired boiler for hot water. Wondering if a hot water tank or tankless system would be more efficient?

The house has 3 units; each with a kitchen & full bath.

What are your thoughts/recommendations?

Im supprised the tankless coil can keep up with the demand.

I would do two 40 gallon electric heaters... Forget tankless......Make sure they get pipped in parallel...not series.

Thx Lawrosa!
There have been times when the tankless coil has been put thru it's paces!!! But it's been pretty good throughout the years! just think it's not efficient to have the boiler eat up oil to give hot water!
Why forget tankless? And please forgive my ignorance (that's why I asking for recommendations) From what I've read here it seems like people are trying to use the tankless to heat the whole house where it might be better off using more than one (layman's opinion)!?
