Need help connecting the end of a thermocouple to the gas control valve.

Upon trying to get the old thermocouple out we accidentally sheered off the nut on the connection to the gas control valve. Is there a way to alternatively connect the end of the thermocouple to the gas control valve? Is there a way to get the connector piece out and replace with a new one?Name: IMG_4328.jpg

Welcome to the forums.

Getting the broken piece of the thermocouple fitting shouldn't be a problem but I'm not sure if that fitting on the gas valve is replaceable. There is no way of fixing it other than replacing it.
You may need to change the gas valve.
