gas water heater problems
I have a 40 gallon natural gas water heater that is making gurgling souds when it is heating. the water is cool when you get up in the morning , but when you run the hot water for a couplle of minutes and then wait a little whiile it heats up. I am thinking there is sediment build up in the bottom of the tank and was wondering if there is a good way to clean it out. I have read about using vinegar and other agents to break up the sediment. any ideas? the heater is about 10 years old and hasn't been flushed. thanks in advance for any advice.

Best not to touch it... A water heater that old will often start leaking soon after if flushed...I know this from experience...
Just leave it.. If a leak will/may cause damage its best to replace now then later...
