I'm looking for a direct replacement for my gcv 50 300 water heater which has 20 inch diameter. If the replacement has 21 inch diameter will that affect the spacing of the water lines? I'm trying to avoid replacing my water lines. Thanks

I'm not a plumber but I've replaced maybe 30 or so water heaters. The hot and cold fittings never line up. I carry extra fittings and add them as needed. Even the gas valves are in slightly different locations.

I'm not sure you'll find an "exact" drop in replacement. I haven't.
