ECS 40 200 sitting on the concrete floor.

I guess it's been there for a while because A.O.Smith says it was made in 2005.
I was wondering if I should install the new one on a stand, off the floor.

The only reason to put it on a stand is if it's in danger of getting flooded. Years ago I would see many water heaters installed on bricks. Now I see them on the floor. Mine and all I've installed are flat on the ground.

If the water heater is located in a closet inside the house then it should be installed in a drain pan.

It is in a small add on with the washer and dryer. I may put it on pavers and get it up a couple inches.
The old one was 240/4500 and the one I'm thinking of getting is 240/5500. Would that cause any problems?
