Codes on a Culligan water softener
Help, Does anybody know the Culligan codes. Our water softener is showing an E2 code. Can someone please help me!!!

If you can identify the exact model of your softener you might find the owner's manual here ...

Culligan Codes
An E2 indicates a stuck motor. In the box with the motor and circuit board, you will see a white round knob with various grooves in it (about the size of lime). Behind that, you will see a metal pin sticking out horizontally and going into a ceramic case behind that. Using a screwdriver, push the pin backwards away from the white knob. This should free up the stuck motor and you should immediately hear the motor and the white knob should spin. If not, unplug the unit for at least 5 minutes, then plug it in again to reset it. Then repeat the other instructions. If that does the trick, spray some lubricant on the pin to help it out next time. Use the links in the previous thread to find instructions on setting the clock. Is it a mechanical or digital based valvehead?
