Culligan

Hello, I have a Culligan Medallist water softener. The owners manual is very vague and does not go into detail of several settings, just how to change settings. My water is VERY HARD and I have the salt dosage (sltp) set at 24 which is the max. My question is what would be the preferred settings for Backwash Time (buu) (1-40) minutes? current setting is 10

Brine Draw/slow rinse (br) (35-99) minutes current setting is 71

Regeneration is set to every day.

My water is just OK, trying to make it better. Thank you

The best hard water can be is "0" hardness.

If you're regenerating every day then your softener is not correctly sized or it is set-up wrong and you are wasting a lot of water.

Chances are I was sold a bill of goods by "the culligan man". Need help with the backwash time and brine draw/slow rinse settings to try and make it a little better any ideas?

In order to help you need to post all the details ...

How long have you had the softener?
Did you buy it from Culligan?
Did Culligan install and setup the softener?
What size (capacity) is the softener?

Have you had your water tested? Hardness? Iron? PH? TDS?

Are you on a well or water system?
