Water Boss Iron Filter. Lurker or AndyC?

Hey guys,I have a loyal costumer who has had a softener of mine for about two years and recently their well seems to be getting more and more iron in it. The softener will only take out about two ppm. After testing the water I found over 5ppm of iron. I told them about Hellenbrand's IC-10 which I'm sure you've seen or heard about. However this equipment is far out of reach financially for them and are looking at Water Boss Iron units. You're thoughts on this unit? Paricularly(spelling?) AndyC and Lurker, but anyone else who has had experience with these let me know what you think, thanks!

I have no experience with WaterBoss, but it is apparently a manganese greensand filter that uses potassium to regenerate.

We had iron in our water (0.4 mg/L) and installed a 2.0 cf tank with BIRM and a varation of the 2510 valve that backwashes with water.

Works good. Iron went to "none detected"

This might not work for 5 ppm, but thought I would chime in, anyway.
