mid america softner 55mt32

Unhappy mid america softner 55mt32

does any one know any thing about this softner 7 years old salty and slimy feeling after it recharges. 19.4gpg set softner at 30 grains 8 quarts of water out of faucet in 20 secounds . salt dial set to 12 if i go lower the water leaves tub rust stained iron 0.75ppm thanks if i need new one could you refer

You may be able to get it serviced. I don't have much experience with mid-america softeners, but after seven years with iron, the resin is most likely shot. I hope you can find a trustworthy technician to service the softener and tell you whether it is worth re-bedding with new resin or not.

You can do it. Find a local plumbing shop to help you get the correct amount and the special funnel you need.
