what kind of filter do I need?
I am getting ready to connect my well to the house for my water supply. I am on a local utility service now. I am getting ready to have my the water tested by DHEC to make sure it is not contaminated. It is a 260 ft. deep well in granite. What kind of filter do I need to use. Just a regular whole house filter good enough? Do I need a prefilter for sediment and then another after that for more filtration? Thanks.

I am going to start an ethnic restaurant, what kind of vegetables do I need?
No, really. there is no way to tell you what you need without more details, namely and thorough water test. Until then get tomatoes.
However, if you are in granite, chances are your hardness will be quite low but your pH may be an issue, especially if it is below 6.0. New wells can produce sediment. Tannins, hydrogen sulfide, chlorides, manganese, etc., can all be present.
Get your water tested and get back with us.
