Fleck 5600 installation
Hi everybody, this is my first time....
I have a well water system and I would like to install a 48000 grains Fleck 5600 softener that I got from a friend of mine.
The current system by-passed the softener, so I am not sure where exactly in the system is the best plece to hook up my softener. My guess is after the pressure tank.
It is just me and my wife now, our water has around 25 hardness so I plan on setting the regeneration at 1700.
Would you experts mind helping me a little bit with some pointers on installation. Thank you much!

Ok, I managed to install the softener and I made my wife really proud. I am not sure how to set the metered valve though.
I have a 48k fleck 5600
26 grains hardness
2 people in the house
2 bathrooms
Anybody could give me some pointers, please?
Thank you!

I would set the salt for 12 pounds. That means the unit will yield 30,000 grain. The gallon count should be set at 1150. To set this, the number must be lined up with the white dot. This means grabbibg the outer wheel and turning while holding the inner wheel.
