Kenmore softener error code
My neighbor was given a Kenmore softener, model 625.348832. after cleaning the venturi, it filled the brine tank with water, and shut off the water level correctly. Shortly after, it showed err 1. What does that code mean? The motor is turning the main gear, and we could hear several clicks before it displayed the error code.

It could be the micro switch or the wire from the mirco switch at fault. What is happening is the motor turns the cam and the micro swith tells the computor when to stop. If the switch or wire is bad, the motor justs keeps on turning.
