Brine tank question with my new Fleck 5600 (sigh)
I installed my new 5600 SXT 32K today, put 5 gal into the brine tank and initiated a cycle. Got soft water but the brine tank filled about half way up the tank on the last cycle. It is lower than the shut off float. This is a lot higher than me old GE. Is this normal? If not, how to fix? One possibility is that I adjusted the brine refill time based on installation instrunctions I got on line. It said it should be 10 minutes for a 32K system. Is this is the error? What should it be?

Solved - "problem" was new salt
I checked my tank this morning and the level was down about 5". IT just took about 8 hours for the water to be absorbed into the new salt. FYI, Ohio Pure Water recommends the water level as measured in the 4" tube be about 11" for a 32K system which is about an 8 minute fill.
