Help Select what I need
Here are the current conditions of my water -
Hardness = 23 grain
Iron = 01
pH = 7.9
Chlorine = .9
TDS = 570
Was recommended to get a water conditioner, de-chlorinator, and a reverse osmosis for drinking water. Was given prices by a kinetico retailer - K2030 -$1789, Dechlor - $525, K5C(RO) - $1058. I know they have a great warranty but was curious if I need all of these components. Also, how does the Aquesana EQ300 Rhino and the Pelican PC600 whole house compare. I live in Harrisburg PA. Thank you for your respsonses.

What size is the Dechlorinator? Actually, with those prices that is a pretty good deal with new Kinetico new.
Not sure with the RO model. Is it also called the K5, or K RO with Quickflow? That will handle all the water problems that you listed very well.
The Rhino has some interesting features but when it comes time to re-bed, you can't do it. You need to have the tanks replaced as they are sealed. The cost is about 80% of new. The Pelican is not a softener or a dechlorinator. It claims to be a scale inhibitor and will do nothing to remove iron or hardness minerals.

I also have a quote from AquaPRO using there series AP4655M-5G. This is a single tank with media guard compared to the 3 tanks I would need with Kinetico. I was also informed that with the kinetico system, if the water hardness changes, they have to replace a piece in the head. Is there a big difference between a electric metered system and the kinetico. They are along the same lines price wise with the RO systems as well. Any help would be beneficial, just trying to make the most informed decision.
