Sear watersoftner
I have an older (at least 5 yrs old) Sears watersoftner.
At first it was not using salt. Thought it might be a salt bridge.
Seems like I cleared that and then the tank filled with water.
The water has gone down in the tank but remains high in the small black tube.
Water always comes out of the tube flowing into the larger
black tube.
sorry I dont know the technical terms.
What can be the problem.
It always sounds like it is cycling through.
Thanks for any help

If water is filling up inside the brine well (small balck tube) but not in the salt tank, salt has blocked the brine well and must be cleaned out. There should only be about 1" of water in the brine tank.
