Rainfsoft Amazon Gold Series Rebed Carbon Filter

Looking for some isights on how this process works. I want to do this myself, but not sure how to get started. Understand the system operation, but it has not been rebed since installed. It is a salt base system that is on auto regeneration and salt is maintained year round. Also have reverse osmosis system in the kitchen tied to fridge and kitchen sink.

Looking for some help. Thanks in advance for your help.

Is the carbon in a seperate tank or is it mixed up with the resin? Do you have 2 cylinder type tanks or 1?

It's just a matter of spinning the top off the tank, turn the tank over, and flush out the old carbon with a hose and add the new carbon.

Hysulex II (H) is the type of cabon for this system. Where is the best place to find this type and it is necessary to use this same type of carbon.

I know this is a rainsoft product, but are there any other substitutes that can be used?
