Watts AF- 40K Premier water, no leftover water in brine tank

Hi,

I recently bought a new AF-40k from Costco. I had someone install it for me. What I noticed that it doesn't leave water in the brine tank to form brine.

When I run regenerate, I can see that tank gets filled with water, but afterwards, the water is all gone again and it's dry.

Any ideas what's wrong? I would like to avoid having a plumber come and charge for two hours for this.

Thanks a lot.

Sounds like yours is like the sears or ge unit, fills the salt tank first and then draws out the water over a 90 minute time frame.
If you start a regen and watch the system put water into the salt tank and then take it out , then that is the type of system you have and that is normal for it.
