question on reverse osmosis system

I have a reverse osmosis system under my kitchen sink. I want to put a t quick connect in and run a line to my ice maker on my frigerator. There about 10' max apart and max 2' in elevation difference between them.

Question is, can I do this and will the ice maker get the water it needs?

The line on the system is 3/8" should I run 3/8" line to half way then go to the existing 1/4" line that goes into the fridge? Or should I get a t with a 1/4 outlet and run just a 1/4 to the fridge ?

Thanks

As lawrosa said, run all 3/8". If you can, cut as much of the 1/4" from the fridge so the 3/8" is as close as possible to the actual fridge inlet(s).

Ok thanks guys. That was my plan. Just got a 3/8 t and the 3/8 with a 3/8 to 1/4 fitting.
