Ideas for well water treatment

I am building a new house, had the well put in and water tested:
Calcium:109.8 mg/L
Iron 1.060 mg/L
Magnesium 43.54 mg/L
Alkalinity 350 mg/L
Hardness 450 MG/L
pH 6.9
Total Dissolved Solids 430mg/L

An online store that sells water treatment supplies recommended a Greensand filter and a water softener. I have a Greensand filter at my home now, I would say it removes 80% of the rust stains which is my main concern. I really dont like water softeners when bathing, can't get the soap off. Anyways, I was wondering about a Chlorine injector system with a greensand filter(if its even needed). I know when we shock the system with chlorine, water is nice for a few days. My wife hates that we can't wash white without staining and would like to put a system in the works! I would appreciate any input.

With the amount of hardness that is in your water, you will destroy the fixture in your home in a short amount of time. The best, least expensive and less maintenance way to correct your water is a water softener. A greensand plus system uses chlorine pellets. A BIRM (Best Iron Removal Media) filter will remove the iron and does not use anything to clean itself.

What do you think of a greensand system with a chlorine injector? This what I am leaning towards.

Make sure it is greensand plus. It will work just fine.

I believe it's Clack. The brochures I have all are from Clack explaining about the media and how it works.
