Water softener hook up

Hi All, Trying to connect our new water softener and need a little info. The connection on the softener is a 1 inch thread. I'm having trouble finding the part and/or correct combination of parts to get this down to a 3/4 inch copper so I can add a 3/4 inch Shark Bite to it. And please....no ripping on the Shark Bites. LOL. I've used several and they all have worked fine. Besides I only use them in the unfinished basement. Any ideas on how to get a 1 inch female down to a 3/4 on the male end ? Thanks
